Also known as Calathea lancifolia, they have striking long wavy leaves marked with uniquely patterned markings and contrasted by burgundy undersides, the Rattlesnake plant is a favourite among collectors and enthusiasts.

Native to the Brazilian rainforest, the rattlesnake plant thrives in moist, warm, semi-shady climates. If conditions are just right, the plant produces bright, yellow-orange blooms in late spring and early summer.

Indoors, they enjoy ample humidity and medium to bright indirect sunlight, but are also tolerant of lower light conditions. They enjoy slightly damp soil, so water regularly, taking care not to over water, and reduce slightly in winter.

Comes in a 12cm nursery pot.
